Daniel Pitts - Long Beach CityOver a three game sweep of El Camino College last week, Long Beach City College sophomore centerfielder Daniel Pitts batted 6 for 14 with a double, triple, and homerun. He totaled 7 RBI and also scored four runs in helping the Vikings’ to capture a share of the South Coast Conference championship. Heading into the postseason, Pitts is batting .331 and leads Long Beach with 40 RBI, 12 doubles, and eight triples.

Julian Griego - Long Beach CityFreshman right-hander Julian Griego tossed 7 2/3 scoreless innings of relief and was credited with a pair of wins for Long Beach City College in two games vs. El Camino College last week. Griego scattered eight hits, struck out six, and walked none on the mound and also spent time at second base. Entering the postseason, Griego is 5-0 with a 1.13 ERA.
