I don’t have the words to adequately express my gratitude for Tony Barbone and the impact he has had in my life and the lives of my family & friends. While he passionately taught me how to be a better player & coach his leadership & mentoring went well beyond the baseball field. He impacted thousands of people throughout his career, thousands, all while demanding we apply our skills to be better brothers, husbands & fathers. It’s a privilege to have called Bones my coach & friend

Tony Barbone was my coach, a mentor, a peer. He helped shape me into the coach, father, husband and grandfather that I am today. His influence in my life cannot be measured by words, but his value in my lifetime, his wisdom and commitment to me, my career and my family is immeasurable. Tony truly lived his calling. He helped shape hundreds of players lives with his tough love, discipline, teaching and meticulous approach through the sport of baseball.

Bonz was a father figure to many of us.
Many of us came from broken or disfunctional homes, and Bonz was a great example of a man who loved God,
Baseball, and loved to compete.
I was fortunate to be able to spend alot of time with him after my playing days were over.
We golfed, played cards, basketball, worked together and served on a state baseball committee.
I continued to learn life lessons from coach for as long as I could.
Bonz touched many lives and I am thankful for the time he invested in me to make me a better man.
My families prayers go out to Mrs. Barbone, his daughters Jen and Ashley and their husbands.
