Pitcher: Mason Pound- Gavilan- 2 APP, 2 GS, 1 W, 13 IP, 6 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 13 K’s, .133 BAA, 0.69 ERA 

The freshman right hander from Gavilan, Mason Pound, was dominant in his first two starts of the year. He started against Folsom Lake opening weekend by throwing six scoreless innings, only allowing three hits and striking out six while helping get the win 3-2. His second start was another impressive performance by going seven innings, allowing one run on three hits and striking out seven. These two dominant outings earned Mason the first Nor Cal Pitcher of the Week award.

Michael Ryan, the sophomore outfielder from Folsom Lake, had a monster week offensively to open the season. He had four multi-hit games in the six games played and homered in three different games. He was a driving force for the offense by driving in nine runs and scoring eight times himself. He is the first Nor Cal Player of the Week this year.
