Ryan Schalch - Marin College

Marin College UTL player Ryan Schalch has been named the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association’s (CCCBCA) baseball Player of the Week for the week of March 9th –March 15th, it was announced on Tuesday.

Ryan had a great week at the plate going 7-13 with 3 runs 2 2b, HR and 5 RBI. He was equally impressive on the mound helping the Mariners win all three games. As the Mariners closer Ryan had two saves and a win while pitching 4 innings allowing 1 hit with 3 K’s. On the season Ryan is hitting .356 with 3 2B, HR and 9 RBI. As a pitcher he is 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA and has 10 K’s in 9.1 innings.

Erik Barron - Gavilan College

Gavilan College UTL player Erik Barron has been named the the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association’s (CCCBCA) baseball Pitcher of the Week for the week of March 9th–March 15th, it was announced on Tuesday.

Soph pitcher Erik Barron beats Cabrillo college with complete game 9inn, 2 er, 5 hits, 0 walks, and 9 k’s lifting the Rams to sole position of first place in the Coast Pacific Division. Erik also played 3b in the Rams win over visiting Hartnell College on Thursday collecting 2 hits and adding 2 rbi’s in the win.


Erik is the first Rams player to earn CCCBCA Pitcher of the Week honors.
