Trevor DeMerritt - West Valley

West Valley SS Trevor DeMerritt has been named the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association’s (CCCBCA) baseball Player of the Week for the week of January 27^th–February 2^nd, it was announced on Tuesday.

DeMerritt, a sophomore from Valley Christian HS went 7 for 11 (.636) with 1 2B, 2 3B’s, 3 RBI, 3 SB, 2 BB and 7 runs scored. Trevor, who also played a solid SS defensively, led the Vikings to a 3-0 record for the week.

Trevor is the first Viking to earn CCCBCA Player of the Week honors. 

Ben Krauth - Diablo Valley

Diablo Valley College LHP Ben Krauth has been named the the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association’s (CCCBCA) baseball Pitcher of the Week for the week of January 27^th –February 2^nd, it was announced on Tuesday.

Krauth, a  6’0 175 LHP Sophomore from Walnut Creek threw 123 pitches (79 for strikes) in 8.1 innings against #8 Merced only giving up 4 hits, while striking out 11.

Ben is the first Viking to earn CCCBCA Pitcher of the Week honors.
