Wyatt Castro - Delta

Delta College player Wyatt Castro has been named the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association’s (CCCBCA) baseball Player of the Week for the week of March 3rd–March 9th, it was announced on Tuesday.

Castro, a 6’0 185lb sophomore outfielder from Antelope, CA helped lead the Mustangs to a 3-0 week. He was 10 for 14 (.714), 8 runs scored, 2 HR, 3 2B, 4 BB and had 6 RBI. He is now hitting .431 on the year with a slugging % at .824.

Wyatt is the second Mustang to earn CCCBCA Player of the Week honors. RHP Sean Bennetts was selected for the week of February 17th –February 23rd

 

 

 

 

 

Sam Alton - Canada

Canada College pitcher Sam Alton has been named the the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association’s (CCCBCA) baseball Pitcher of the Week for the week of March 3rd –March 9th, it was announced on Tuesday.

Alton, a 6’2 190lb sophomore from Sonoma CA, threw a complete game shutout against Hartnell College. He only allowed 4 hits, 1 run, 1 BB and struck out 5. This was his second CG in a row.

Sam is the first Colt to earn CCCBCA Pitcher of the Week honors.
