Andy Garretson - Monterey Peninsula College

Monterey Peninsula College player Andy Garretson has been named the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association’s (CCCBCA) baseball Utility Player of the Week for the week of March 28th –April 3rd, it was announced on Tuesday.

Andy, a 6'6", 225lbs, RHP/1B sophomore from Paso Robles.  During the week, Garretson was 5 for 14 with 3 doubles, 1 triple, 6 RBI, 4 runs scored and 1 BB.  He also pitched 7 innings, giving up 1 run, on 4 hits, with 6 strikes in his start vs. Ohlone College in a 9-1 win.

Garretson is the first Lobo to earn CCCBCA Player of the Week honors this season.

 

 

Jack Higgins - Los Medanos College

    
 

Los Medanos RHP Jack Higgins been named the the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association’s (CCCBCA) baseball Pitcher of the Week for the week of March 28th –April 3rd, it was announced on Tuesday.

LMC's freshman righty went the distance in a winning effort this past Monday. In the outing he threw 9 innings, allowing just 5 hits, 1 run while striking out 8. Higgins has thrown back to back complete games in his past two starts, and on the season holds a 1.86 ERA.

Higgins is the first Mustang to earn CCCBCA Pitcher of the Week honors.
