Isaac Feldstein - Canada College

Canada College utility player Isaac Feldstein has been named the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association’s (CCCBCA) baseball Player of the Week for the week of April 18th –April 24th, it was announced on Tuesday.

Isaac had a real productive week and went 7-12 with 2 doubles, 3 home runs, scoring 5 runs and also driving in 10. Isaac is now leading Nor Cal with 11 home runs on the season and has the third highest total in the state. 

Feldstein is the second Colt to earn CCCBCA Player of the Week honors this season. Julius Raval was selected pitcher of the week in March.

Sierra College pitcher Jeffrey Kersten & West Valleys Jeider Rincon has been named the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association’s (CCCBCA) baseball Co-Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 18th –April 24th, it was announced on Tuesday.

Jeffrey pitched 8.1 innings in a must win game for the Wolverines; final score was 3-2 Sierra. He earned the win over #4 ranked Delta College while striking out 9 and allowing no walks. He scattered seven hits and ended two innings with strikeouts while runners were on 2nd and 3rd. Kersten is a freshman from Pinole Valley High School. 

The win pushes Jeff's Big 8 Conference record to 4-1 but more important is his performance kept Sierra College’s playoff hopes alive. 

On Tuesday, April 19 sophomore left-handed pitcher Jeider Rincon (from Overfelt High School in San Jose) threw a complete game 2 hit shutout vs. Mission College on 102 pitches.  Rincon had 0 BB and 7 K's in the win over 1st place Mission.

Kersten is the first Wolverine & Rincon the first Viking to earn CCCBCA Pitcher of the Week honors this season.
