Joaquin Sequeira - American River College

American River College C Joaquin Sequeira has been named the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association’s (CCCBCA) baseball Player of the Week for the week of March 21st –March 27th, it was announced on Tuesday.

Sequeira was 8x12 on the week with a pair of RBI and two runs scored in a pair of games against #13 Diablo Valley College and #2 ranked Santa Rosa JC.  He had a stretch of 7 straight hits against DVC and his RBI single against Santa Rosa put the Beavers up 3-2 in the top of the 9th.  He also threw out a runner stealing against Santa Rosa as he is A.R.C.’s catcher. 

Joaquin is the first Beaver to earn CCCBCA Player of the Week honors this season.

 

 

Zayne Patino - Mission College &
Tevin Cadola - Butte College

    
 

Butte College RHP Tevin Cadola & Mission College P Zayne Patino have been named the the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association’s (CCCBCA) baseball Co- Pitcher of the Week for the week of March 21st –March 27th, it was announced on Tuesday.

The 6’1 170lb uncommitted sophomore threw a complete game shutout only giving up 4 infield hits while fanning 11. With the win, it brings his record to 6-1 with a 1.73 ERA and 55 strikeouts.  

On Saturday, Zayne threw a complete game shutout against West Valley in a 9-0 victory. Zayne accomplished this feat in 92 pitches. His stat line is as follows:    9.0 IP, 1 Hit, 1 Walk, 8 Strikeouts, & 0 Runs.

Cadola is the second Roadrunner and Patino is the first Saint to earn CCCBCA Pitcher of the Week honors.
