Austin Rubick, RHP

Ventura College So. RHP Austin Rubick started on Tuesday Feb. 28th vs. LA Pierce in the Pirates home opener. Austin dominated the Brahamas for 6.1 innings allowing just 1 hit and no runs with 13 strikeouts and 3 walks in the performance.

Rubick struck out 8 of the first 10 hitters he faced and held the Brahamas without a hit for the first 6 innings of the game before LA Pierce singled to start the seventh inning of the game. Rubick picked up the win in the start as the Pirates knocked off the Brahams 8-1. It was Rubick's first win of the 2017 campaign.
