Nick Redick

OF | R/R | Fr. | 5-11
Norwalk, Calif. / St. Paul HS

In the series against LA Harbor last week, freshman Nick Redick started all three games in centerfield. He provided an offensive spark, marking him the only Tartar to earn three-hit games in each outing. He amassed nine hits on the week to account for nearly a quarter of the Compton offense, reaching a total of 12 times.

As the leadoff batter, he also earned three RBI and scored three of the teams runs while adding a stolen base. Redick currently leads the team at the plate in conference play, counting the third-most RBI and second-most doubles. He is currently riding a seven-game hitting streak with five of those seven games recorded as multi-hit performances.

In the field, Redick was perfect with 10 putouts and an assist.

Jacob Kampen

Kampen, a RHP from Mt San Antonio College, moves his record to 5-1 after tossing a gem vs. conference foe Rio Hondo.

Jacob threw 7 innings allowing just 1 hit and struck out 9 of the 22 batters he faced in last Tuesday’s South Coast North division match up.
