College of the Canyons sophomore designated hitter Nick Henry put together quite an impressive week while helping the Cougars to a three-game sweep over conference foe Victor Valley College. Henry finished the three-game set a combined 12-of-16 with a home run, three doubles, six runs and seven RBIs. In Thursday’s home tilt vs. the Rams Henry went 5-of-5 with a pair of runs. Those numbers helped the Cougars (19-15, 10-7) plate an impressive 51 runs in the series while moving COC into second place in the WSC, East Division standings.

Jorge Medrano threw a complete game 9 inning shutout against Antelope Valley on Thursday April 11th. Medrano gave up only 4 hits, while striking out 6 and walking only 2, facing only 4 batters over the minimum (31). Medrano’s efforts lead the Vikings to a 9-0 win.
