Tyler Watson - Ventura College 

The CCCBCA is proud to announce Ventura Sophomore, Tyler Watson, as the Southern California Player of the Week. Watson was 6-12 on the week at the plate with two doubles, a triple, 6 RBI and 6 runs scored including a pair of hit by pitches. The Pirates went 2-1 on the week with a pair of victories over Cuesta College. Two days after a 5-6 performance at the plate Watson took the mound for the Pirates and spun a complete game shutout over Cuesta College at home which included just 4 hits allowed, 8 strikeouts and 2 walks on the game. Watson contributed with a single, a run driven in and scored 2 runs in the game. Watson's complete game was his second in a row and stretched a scoreless streak of 17 innings after he allowed a first inning run vs. LA Pierce on Thursday March 13th, Watson has put together his current scoreless streak.

 

 

 

 

 

Pedro Fierros - Compton Center

The CCCBCA is proud to announce Compton Center, Freshman pitcher Pedro Fierros from Long Beach Poly High School as the Southern California Pitcher of the Week.  Fierros improved to 2-0 for the season by pitching a complete game allowing 6 hits, no walk while striking out12 batters in a 2-0 victory over conference leading East Los Angeles College. With the shutout Pedro lowered his overall ERA to 1.11 and his conference ERA to 0.56.
