Tyler Davis - Chabot

Chabot College player Tyler Davis has been named the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association’s (CCCBCA) baseball Player of the Week for the week of March 10th–March 16th, it was announced on Tuesday.

Davis, a 6’0 185lb sophomore infielder from Miramonte HS was 8 for 11 (.727),
7 runs scored, 3 2B, 1 3B and had 7 RBI. He is now hitting .312 on the year with a slugging % at .417.

Tyler is the first Gladiator to earn CCCBCA Player of the Week honors. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ben Ritchey - Sacramento City

Sacramento City College pitcher Ben Ritchey has been named the the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association’s (CCCBCA) baseball Pitcher of the Week for the week of March 10th –March 16th, it was announced on Tuesday.

The true freshman, Ritchey threw a complete game shutout against American River College last Tuesday.  In his 9 innings, he limited the Beavers to just 4 hits (all singles) and 1 base on balls, while facing just 33 batters and striking out 8 hitters.  It was Ritchey's 2nd win of the season and he helped set the tone for the Panthers series sweep over ARC in the Big 8 conference opening series.

Ben is the first Panther to earn CCCBCA Pitcher of the Week honors.
