Joseph Salmeri - Merced College 

Merced College player Joseph Salmeri has been named the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association’s (CCCBCA) baseball Player of the Week for the week of March 31st–April 6th, it was announced on Tuesday.

Joseph Salmeri was a bright spot in the Blue Devils lineup versus Fresno City College.  Though the Blue Devils went 1-2 against the Rams, Joseph batted .462, and had a 1.000 fielding percentage in the three games.  In 13 at bats he had 6 hits, 2 runs scored, 5 RBIs, 2 doubles, and 2 stolen bases.  Salmeri leads the Blue Devils in batting having raised his average to .340.


Joseph is the first Blue Devil to earn CCCBCA Player of the Week honors this year. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ben Krauth - Diablo Valley 

Diablo Valley College LHP Ben Krauth has been named the the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association’s (CCCBCA) baseball Pitcher of the Week for the week of March 31st –April 6th, it was announced on Tuesday.

Last Tuesday, against #1 ranked Sac City, Ben Krauth pitched a complete game 3 hit shutout in DVC’s 1-0 win and he tied an all-time school record with 15 strikeouts.  He is currently leading the state in strikeouts with an ERA at .083

This is the second time this season Ben has been selected CCCBCA Pitcher of the Week. He was also chosen the for the week of January 27th –February 2nd.
