BIG 8 CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK- BRIAN MCCLELLIN- DELTA COLLEGE
The BIG 8 Conference has announced that Brian McClellin, a sophomore from San Joaquin Delta College has been named the Player of the Week for the week of March 27th. McClellin, who prepped at Vacaville High School was 7x13 in three games against Folsom Lake College last week. He filled up the stat sheet by scoring 7 runs in the series while adding a pair of doubles, a triple and a home run.
BIG 8 CONFERENCE PITCHER OF THE WEEK- MYLES MEYER, AMERICAN RIVER COLLEGE
Myles Meyer, a sophomore right hander from American River College has been named the BIG 8 Conference Pitcher of the Week for the week ending April 2nd, the conference announced on Monday. Meyer, who played his high school ball at Placer High School in Auburn threw 5 innings of relief over two games for the Beavers against Diablo Valley College. The right-hander threw five shutout innings and struck out 9 while walking one and allowing just 2 hits, one of which was a bunt. On Thursday he faced 6 batters in two innings and struck out five and got a foul out for the final out.
