Doug Williams, 29-year Head Coach at College of San Mateo, moves to Associate Coach, Riley Goulding named CSM Head Coach.

Coach Doug Williams decided the “time was right” and has passed the torch to Riley Goulding.  Riley played shortstop at College of San Mateo under Williams in 2009/10 before moving on to D1 baseball at UTEP.  Goulding combines seven years of Division I coaching experience and is now in his third-year coaching the Bulldogs.  Coach Williams continues to be involved in all aspects of the CSM program.

Williams became CSM head coach shortly after legendary Coach John Noce (CCCBCA and ABCA Hall of Fame) retired in 1992.  In 29 years as CSM head coach, Williams posted a record of 814-372, won 18 conference titles, including a stretch of nine in a row, qualified for state playoffs 26 times and advanced to the Final Four tournament three times.  During that time, 331-340 CSM players either signed a professional contract or transferred to four-year college.  Since 2013, six former Bulldogs have played in the Major Leagues.
