Compton College Tartar Lefthander Julian Berinti won his first game of the season with an outstanding pitching performance versus the Vikings of Barstow College. Julian pitched 7 scoreless innings, allowing only 4 hits, and setting a school record for an individual game with 15 strikeouts. For the season Julian lowered his ERA to 0.79 and averaging 15.88 strikeouts per 9 innings.
