Threw 8 innigs of NO-HITS
Finished with a 1-Hit Shutout Complete game for the Win over #10 Sequoias College

Cuesta Righthander Ben Broughton<https://www.cuestaathletics.com/sports/bsb/2021-22/bios/broughton_ben_4foz> carried a no-hitter into the 8th inning, before settling for a one-hit, shutout, 9-0, over #10 Sequoias.  The visiting Giants used a pair of Cuesta errors to put two runners in scoring position during their first at-bat, but Broughton got out of the jam and went on a roll.  Cuesta scored four runs in the 1st inning and three more in the 2nd to give Broughton some room to work and he sent down in order the next nine Giants.  Only one Sequoias player reached second base the rest of the game and Outfielder Mike McKiernan's single through the left side of the infield in the 7th inning, which was the only hit of the game for Sequoias.  He was immediately erased by an inning ending double play.   The victory over the Giants snapped a six-game losing streak for the Cougars and evened their series with the Giants.
