PLAYER OF THE WEEK- NATE ADE, 3B- COSUMNES RIVER COLLEGE
The BIG 8 Conference has named Cosumnes River College third baseman Nate Ade as its Player of the Week for the week ending March 20th. Ade was 7 x12 against American River College for the week with a triple, home run and 9 RBI. On Thursday he was 4 x 4 with a triple and a grand slam with 7 RBI in the Hawks rout of the Beavers. He was a double short of the cycle despite only playing 6 innings in the game. It is the first player of the week award for the sophomore from Davis High School in Davis, CA

Nate Thompson, a left-hander from Elk Grove High School makes it a clean sweep for Cosumnes River College this week as he earned the Pitcher of the Week award. Thomson helped the Hawks sweep the Beavers with his outstanding performance on Friday, throwing 7 innings of shutout ball while allowing just 3 hits and striking out 7. The win improved Thompson's record to 3-1 on the season. He didn't allow a hit until the 4th inning. The Hawks won the game 7-0.
