Connor Irvine got the Cougars rolling this past Saturday throwing 6 innings giving up 1 hit and striking out 14 in the Game 1 win over college of the Redwoods. Dylan Chalmers took the ball in game 2 and threw 7 strong innings giving up 5 hits and 0 BB's. Chalmers had 8 strikeouts throwing only 72 pitches to help the Cougars sweep a doubleheader on opening week of conference play. The Lassen pitchers combined for 2 shutouts with scores of 10-0 and 13-0. Dylan Chalmers is a sophomore RHP from Missoula, Montana and Connor Irvine is a sophomore RHP from Canada.
