WEEK 4: PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Player of the week:

Kevin Iwata - MPC

Kein Iwata-  sophomore SS helped lead the Lobos to 3 wins last week.  He went 12 for 16 (.750 avg.), 5 RBI, 2B, 3B, 3 runs, 2 SB.

Pitcher of the week:

Andrew Neil. -LMC

Freshman Utl Andrew Neil did just about a bit of everything for the Mustangs in 4 games in 4 days this past week. In the 4 games for LMC Neil played a different position every day and played a major role in 3 wins offensively, defensively and on the mound. On Tuesday he played 2B, on Wednesday he played short, on Thursday he started at third and Friday was the starting pitcher. At the plate on the week he was 5 for 14 with 8 R, 4 RBI, 3 2B, 1 HR, and a BB. Defensively he was perfect in his 10 total chances. On the mound in the final game of the week he picked up the win going 6 innings, allowing 5 hits and 0 runs with 9 strikeouts.
