Shawn Sweeny - Citrus College

In the opening week of action Citrus College sophomore catcher Shaw Sweeney had a great week, batting .538, with a .600 on-base percentage. Sweeney scored five runs, and drove in a pair, coming up with seven hits in 13 at bats. Behind the dish, Sweeney threw out two of the six base stealers. The 6’1, 190 pound right hander, prepped at Colony HS in Ontario, CA. 

 

 

 

 

 

Lucas Tancas - Irvine Valley

The CCCBCA would like to congratulate Irvine Valley freshman, Lucas Tancas for the being named the Southern California Player of the Week for the opening week of the 2015 season.  Lucas, a first baseman out of Capistrano Valley High School, finished the week 7 for 12 (.583 BA), including two doubles, a triple and one home run.  In the three games, Tancas had a .615 on-base% and a 1.167 SGL%.
