San Diego Mesa College Baseball Honors Lost Teammate
On January 6th, 2013 freshman pitcher Hunter Harris lost his
life in a tragic motor vehicle accident. On February 1st, 2013 his
teammates decided to honor him during their home opener
against Mt. San Jacinto College.
Harris was announced as the starting pitcher for the game and a
single ball was placed on the mound in vigil of a moment of
silence.
Hunter, a freshman pitcher from Patrick Henry High
School, will always be remembered by his teammates, family and
friends as playful, caring and a genuine friend who loved baseball
and had a great sense of humor. In honor of such a tremendous
person and teammate, the Olympians Baseball program would like to
dedicate their 2013 season to his memory and will proudly honor him
with a personalized logo on their hats and t-shirts.
