Nick Schumacher - Folsom College
Folsom Lake College 1B Nick Schumacher has been named the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association’s (CCCBCA) baseball Player of the Week for the week of March 7th –March 13th, it was announced on Tuesday.
Schumacher, the sophomore 1B was 6 for 13 this week with 7 RBI, 2 double, 1 HR, and 3 runs scored for a .461 AVG. On the year Nick Schumacher is hitting .304 with 4 HR and 19 RBI.
Nick is the second Falcon to earn CCCBCA Player of the Week honors this season. Will Felton was selected Pitcher of the Week for the week of February 29th –March 6th.

Sacramento City College LHP Travis Magness & Skyline College’s Joe Galea has been named the the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association’s (CCCBCA) baseball Co-Pitcher of the Week for the week of March 7th –March 13th, it was announced on Tuesday.
Travis tossed a gem to open up Big 8 Conference play for the Panthers against NorCal #9, Sierra College. Over eight innings pitched, Magness threw just 86 pitches and held the Wolverines scoreless to earn the win. He scattered three Wolverine hits (only one of which left the infield) and walked two in a dominant performance for Sac City.
Joe Galea threw a 3 hit shutout against West Valley College on Thursday March 10th. Joe threw 85 pitches facing 29 batters striking out 4 with no walks. Joe improves his record to 2-1
Magness is the first Panther & Galea is the first Trojan to earn CCCBCA Pitcher of the Week honors.
