The sophomore right fielder from West Valley, Jayce Dobie, was at the center of all the action for the Vikings over the weekend. In the three-game series he drove in six runs and scored five more to account for eleven total runs. He had 11 total bases in the series and added four walks as well. In the deciding game three, Dobie hit his 12th home run of the year and drove in four in the game to help his team advance.
Pitcher: Robert Orr- San Joaquin Delta- 2 APP, 2 SV, 5.1 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 1 BB, 6 K's, .176 BAA, 3.38 ERA
Robert Orr, the freshman right hander, closed out both victories for Delta in their series over Sac City. On Friday, Orr went 3.2 innings allowing three hits and two runs while striking out five to secure the 8-6 victory. On Saturday, he went 1.2 innings and faced the minimum while picking up a strikeout to secure the 7-3 victory. He earned saves in both contests.
