"True freshmen Brandon Nguyen and Joey Craig helped spark the Vaquero offense in #3 Glendale's sweep of Bakersfield College.
Nguyen, and left-handed hitting outfielder from Arcadia, opened the week with a leadoff home run. We went 9 for 15 (.600), with two homers, four extra base hits, six runs batted in, and four runs scored on the week.
Craig, a centerfielder from Omaha, Nebraska hit a go-ahead homer in game two and added an 8 for 11 (.727) effort, with five runs scored, two runs batted in, and five stolen bases. He currently leads the state in On-Base Percentage (.612), Slugging Percentage (.810), and ranks second in Batting Average (.476)."
