Martin Teague - Compton Center

Compton Center 1st baseman Martin Teague has been selected as the Southern California Player of the Week for the week ending Feb 14.  The sophomore from Canyon Springs High School led the Tartars to 3 victories in as many games.  For the week, Martin was 6-12 with 1 home run and 4 runs scored and 3 RBI.  On the defensive side, he had 34 putouts.   With the outstanding week, Martin is now hitting .485, which leads the South Coast Conference along with a .541 OBP and a slugging percentage of .667.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Blake Redman - Oxnard College

Oxnard starting pitcher Blake Redman has been selected as the Southern California Pitcher of the Week for the week ending February 14.  Blake pitched his second shutout of the season on February 10th against Glendale College.  He pitched a CG, scattering 5 hits, and dropped his ERA to 0.86.  Blake also combined for a shutout in his first outing of the season against Pasadena CC, giving him two on the young season, and helping the Condors stay among the top-ranked teams in Southern California.
