Robert Marcial -New Head Coach - Mission College

Robert “Bobbo” Marcial has been the Assistant Baseball Coach for the past six seasons and will now take over as the Head Coach for the 2019/2020 Season. Over the past six years the Eagles have been to the playoffs four times and have one the Western State South Conference twice. Coach Marcial and staff have been a part of a 70% success rate of moving their players onto four year colleges. Prior to becoming the Head Coach, Bobbo served as the team’s defensive, hitting and third base coach for the Eagles.

Prior to his time at Los Angeles Mission College, Coach Marcial coached at Cleveland High School from 2010-2013. He was the Head JV coach his first year and the Head Assistant Coach the next two. Bobbo helped lead the 2013 team to the LA City Championship game, where the Cavaliers dropped a tough game 2-1. Coach Marcial has also coached many travel ball teams over the years and has taken four teams to Cooperstown, NY to play in the most prestige summer tournament for 12 year olds.

Before starting his coaching career, Bobbo graduated from Cleveland High School in 2002, then attended the University of Nevada, Reno from 2002-2005, which led to his Professional career with the Atlanta Braves from 2005-2009. Coach Marcial was drafted as a free agent while playing summer ball for the Santa Barbara Foresters. He won a City Championship with Cleveland High School in 2002, was on multiple All-Conference Teams while at Nevada, and was part of a Double-A championship in 2008 with the Mississippi Braves.

Coach Marcial has four sisters and one brother. He and his fiancée Andrea have two daughters, Samantha (9) and Gianna (2).
