Major League Debut - Skylines Julian Merryweather

Julian Merryweather a 2012 Skyline College grad who later transferred to Oklahoma Baptist University made a major league appearance as the 6-4 right hander was called up to the Toronto Blue Jays active 28-man roster on Tuesday afternoon 

Julian was drafted in the fifth round of the 2014 Major League Baseball Draft by the Cleveland Indians. The Berkeley, California, native was acquired by the Blue Jays via trade in 2018.
 
He underwent Tommy John surgery in 2018, starting a long road of recovery that saw him pitch a combined 12 innings between the Minors and the Arizona Fall League.

Julian made his debut against the Philadelphia Phillies on Aug 20th pitching 1.1 innings and striking out 3. Julian had an outstanding career at Oklahoma Baptist University with a 22-5 record over two seasons. The All-American had a career ERA of just 1.73 in 182 innings pitched after tying the second-lowest ERA in program history with 1.07 in 2014. He registered 208 strikeouts with the Bison.
